The villages

The Emporda is full of charming villages, winding streets with stone housesan lage farm houses showing the interesting architecture of the area, The villages are mostly agricultural , with ome houses recently restored. It is undiscovered by tourim and has an exuberant nature.

Two kilometres away from Can Sort there are some samall villages: there is Vilaür  walled village with a nice square, romanisque church and several impressive "Masias", also Calabuig ,  it's up on a hill and has fantastic views, both of them with   aprox.   70 inhabitants.

Four   Km away , Bàscara and Camallera , where you can find shops , bar, train station and bus.

Other villages very   close and interesting: Sant Mori, Saus, Vilopriu; Gausas, Orfes, Colomers, Arenys d'Empordà, Vilajoan, Palau de Santa Eulalia etc .....​​

    

 

Rivers.

2 Km away from Can Sort : Fluvià River passes, there are areas where you can swim, its basin is very rich in vegetation ..
The beaches.
At 17km. from Can Sort, there is Sant Marti de Ampúrias, with pleasant coves surrounded by pine trees.

There is a tour visit walk past the Greco-Roman ruins, close to the coves , and reaching l'Escala.

Also about 15km. is the large beach of Sant Pere Pescador, in the Bay of Roses, with some other wild areas with campsites.

Very well know beach for the kitesurf lovers . Even in August we find places that are not crowded .
In Cap de Creus, leaving Rosas, Joncols coves, Pelosa and Montjoi are worth visiting for its cliffs and rugged landscape,
and clean water .

The towns
Barcelona is 125 km along the A-7, that is to drive 1h and 1h30 by train .

. In a 25 Km radius are the towns of Figueres , Girona, Banyoles, La Bisbal, La Escala and Roses.
